Parents,
This morning we ate breakfast and met our new friend who has joined our classroom! We all introduced ourselves and had fun talking to her! We worked on our fine motor skills by placing pegs into a peg board and making beautiful pieces of art with stamps. We also sorted dinosaurs by color and type, and then worked with different action figures that wind up and twist. During circle time, our weather helper saw the trees moving, so we decided it was windy outside, and placed the windsock over our big tree. We saw that today started a new month, so we placed a pink number 1 on the calendar, and read that today was Wednesday, April 1st. For music and dancing, we sang and danced to "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star," and had our dancing helper sit in front of the class and be the song leader. We went outside and played with Pre-K on our new playground! We all enjoyed the slide and the tunnels to crawl through. For story time, we started reading "The Pinkish, Purplish, Bluest Egg," about a mother dove who found a huge egg and brought it to her nest to hatch. During centers, we played in the big block center and hid eggs for each other to find, and continued working on our paper mache eggs, which look like they are almost ready to paint! We ate lunch with Pre-K and went outside to play on the playground. This afternoon, we will be going over to Pre-K to make patterns with eggs that are different sizes and and colors.
Welcome to our new student and her family, and have a great evening!
