Parents,
This morning we ate breakfast and worked on our fine motor skills by feeding corn to pigs, stamping farm animals, and working with bristle blocks. We also worked with the birthday cakes, and each cake has a number on it which tells you how many candles to put in it, since it is Ms. Parson's birthday! During circle time, we decided it was sunny outside, so we placed the big yellow sun over our tree and felt the warmth from a flashlight. During calendar time, we counted to the number 21 and read our "pink, purple, purple, purple" pattern, and decided that we needed a pink number today. Our dancing and movement helper chose to sing "Popcorn," and we had a lot of fun jumping and dancing to the song! We went outside and played with Pre-K on the new playground, and enjoyed climbing and laying in the tunnels! For story time, we read "Click, Clack, Quackity-Quack," an ABC story about silly farm animals and what they like to do. We had speech today with Ms. McGuire, and during centers we spot painted a baby chick, and created a farm scene with farm animal sponges! We also played in the big block center with all of the toy farm animals. We went to lunch with Pre-K and went outside with them on the playground. This afternoon, we will be going over to the Pre-K classroom to measure caterpillars, and to create a bar graph with farm animals!
Have a great day!
