Parents,
This morning we ate breakfast and worked on our fine motor skills by feeding bales of hay to cows. We also counted different amounts of ladybugs and put them on leaves and sorted red, blue, yellow and green farm animals. We went to the library, and Ms. Kraal read us two stories! One was about a caterpillar that turned into a butterfly, and the other was about a lazy ladybug! We went outside on the playground with Pre-K and had fun swinging and going across the monkey bars. During circle time, we decided that it was cloudy outside, so we put the big, fluffy, white cloud over our classroom tree. For calendar, we counted to the number 24 and realized that we needed a purple number to follow our pattern. Our dancing and movement helper chose to sing "5 Little Ducks," and we each held a tiny stuffed animal duck while we sang and danced. For centers, we worked on our letter of the week activities, and put yarn on our big yellow ''Y" and put yo-yos on our little "Y" paper. We also created a pig out of a paper plate to put on our farm bulletin board, and worked in the big block center creating towers and shelters for our farm animals. This afternoon, we will be going over to Pre-K to count ladybugs with Ms. Mitchell, and work on other math activities!
Have a great weekend!
